How Eagle Ascension Works

Eagle Ascension is Aristocrat's eagle-themed version of Buffalo Ascension, and it plays the same way. It is a 5-reel ways game where reels 2, 3 and 4 can grow taller during play. At full height the game offers up to 5,488 ways to win.

The growth is driven by arrow symbols. The three middle reels start 4 symbols tall, and each arrow that lands on one of them adds a row, up to a maximum of 7. When an arrow lands on a reel that is already 7 tall, the game awards the prize shown above that reel.

The game is designed so arrows land less often as the reels get taller, which is why a reel that someone else has already pushed near 7 is worth so much more than a fresh one.

Where the Advantage Comes From

The advantage on Eagle Ascension is the persistent height of the three middle reels. The heights are displayed on the cabinet and carry over to the next player, so a machine left with tall reels hands over the hardest part of the climb.

The closer a reel sits to 7, the closer it is to awarding its prize, and every extra row also adds ways, which lifts the base game. A cabinet with all three middle reels near the top is the headline configuration, the same read that makes Buffalo Ascension one of the most popular AP titles.

Two things to confirm on the floor before committing: how heights are stored across bet levels on the cabinet you are reading, and where a reel drops back to after it awards its prize.

The play points per reel-height combination, the bet-level decision, and the bankroll required to commit to a near-7 configuration: that is what the APSlot Game Pass library covers.

Eagle Ascension FAQs

Is Eagle Ascension an advantage play slot machine?
Yes. Eagle Ascension is an Aristocrat persistent-state slot and the eagle-themed version of Buffalo Ascension. The heights of reels 2, 3 and 4 are shown on the cabinet and carry between players, so tall reels left behind are equity the next player inherits.
How do you play Eagle Ascension for an advantage?
Walk the floor and read the three middle reel heights on every Eagle Ascension cabinet. Each reel runs from 4 to 7, and the closer a reel is to 7, the closer it is to awarding the prize above it. Because arrows get rarer as reels grow, the last rows are the expensive ones, which is exactly what a high-state cabinet saves you.
What is the must-hit-by threshold or key mechanic on Eagle Ascension?
The key mechanic is persistent reel growth. Arrows add a row to reels 2, 3 or 4, from a starting height of 4 up to 7. An arrow landing on a 7-high reel awards the prize shown above that reel, and at full height the game reaches 5,488 ways. Specific play points per reel-height combination are covered in the APSlot Game Pass library.
Is advantage play on Eagle Ascension legal?
Yes. Advantage play on Eagle Ascension is legal everywhere casino slot play itself is legal. You're using publicly visible information (the reel heights shown on the cabinet) and your own bankroll to play machines at moments when the math favors the player. You're not modifying the machine, manipulating outcomes, or using restricted equipment. The casino still earns its hold on the average; advantage players just take the spots the average player leaves on the table.
How much bankroll do I need to advantage play Eagle Ascension?
Bankroll on Eagle Ascension depends on the bet level and how many reels you are pushing toward 7. Arrows land less often on taller reels, so the final rows can take a while; size your bankroll for that stretch. Taller reels also improve the base game, which offsets part of the chase. Specific bankroll math by reel-height combination and bet level is covered in the APSlot Game Pass library.
