How we judge a machine
A machine is a play only when it keeps value that carries over to the next player, and you can read that value on the machine before you sit down. Meters that have to pay by a set amount, bonuses that build up and progress that stays on the screen between players all fit.
A trap shows you something that looks like stored value, like growing pots, piles of coins or a filling bar, but it doesn't change the odds or the payback. Every machine we call a play is covered in APSlot's own guide library.
Quick answers
What makes a slot machine beatable?
It stores value that carries over to the next player, and you can see that value on the machine. When enough of it has built up, the next spins are worth more than they cost.
What is a trap machine?
A machine with growing pots, coins or meters that look like stored value but don't change your odds. The help screen often says so. Playing one is just a normal slot session.
Is advantage play legal?
Playing a machine in its normal state is legal. You only use what any player can see on the screen. Casinos can still ask you to stop or leave, and you should follow their rules.
Think you can spot a trap?
Trap or not? shows you ten machines, one at a time. Pick the real plays, skip the traps, then share your score.
